Know of something every other forum software has, and we don't?

Me too, so here is the official thread for "things you'd like to see, but are not there yet".

Currently active users. Possibly even, users browsing this sub-forum and/or thread.

Edit: Also, It's be nice if we could have a "View Your Posts" and "View Active Topics" link in the header somewhere. For the sake of keeping track of new posts and threads we have posted in.

Another Edit: It'd also be cool if, when editing a new post, it took you back to the original.

I also think that the submit button shouldn't say new post when editing.

Uhm.

A search system would be nice, some way to get all the new content since I last visited. I know, I know, this is still developmental stuff etc, but it's one of the most used features for me in a forum. I visit, I click "New Content" (I vote we name the button "What did I miss?!") and see if anything interesting springs up.

A flashing, seizure inducing rave background wouldn't go amiss

Images in sigs dont seem to work. I had a hard time getting my sig to work at all, lol

some sort of a rating system would be nice.. example, go to http://techtutz.com - scroll down to the 'news' articles on the homepage, see a thumbs up/down button, would be nice if we had that here..

topic names in <title> tags would be nice too, so I could hover tabs and see which is what. Right now all I see is "FileSheep.com - Forum"

Ideally this would be "Suggestions for the forum software - FileSheep Forum"

There is a thanks system on Boardsthat I think works really well, its similar to what Mikey was saying about a ranking system, without being overtly ranked based

Is that similar to what we had in the old days where you earned points then spent them on upgrades like colorful user titles or bigger avatars?
