There is a feature I've only seen on only one forum before (a free ZetaBoard, no less!) that took the user to last post they had read when they last opened the thread. First post if they hadn't, of course.

In all actuality it was probably just to the post that was the most recent the last time they read the thread. It was a cool feature all the same, and if possible, something I'd like to see here.

I realize it could be difficult to implement (but I do not doubt Sheep!) so if not that, could we at least get a page number selection when viewing threads?

Also, in the latest/search page, when clicking on results for a thread with more than one page, it takes you to the original post as opposed to the latest reply in the way it does when it is only one page.

Latest replies is in the works, as it is kinda broken right now. Threads should already have page numbers though?

As for your idea, I like it.

Well what I meant with page numbers was being able to select the page you go to before you open the thread from the sub-forum itself.

This may have to go on the backburner while I do what I currently have in mind, but I've drafted up a nice way of doing it without taxing the user or the database too much. Should even work on the iPhone, though it wouldn't in IE8.


This is an aspect I need to add support for, but it should be easy enough. Expect it in one of the upcoming updates.
