I'd suggest if the debate continues we use this thread, quoting the others if you want to counter anything from them. Just want to point out I made the assertion I didn't want this argument to become "circular" so I'd withdraw an leave others to it but fuck it. You want to use that as an oppurtunity to try an tell me whats "untrue" without fear of response I may as well jump back onto the carousel.

If theres anyway to amalgonate these religous "debates" (who am I kidding?) into the one thread I think would enable us to nail down the goalposts and get abit more coherency from both sides.

An where your concerned Book, Cast them in cement just to be extra safe....

An for the record I don't believe I know the truth any more than anyone else. Its an arrogance only the truly indoctrined (Not a compliment btw) and short sighted are capable of.

As socrates said many years before your preference of deity was imagined "The wise know that they know nothing". Whatever our own conclusions on the big questions of life are the overwehlming probability is going to be we are all wrong........Just some more so than others.
Fuck your Honda Civic I've a horse outside...

I took all of the stuff from each of our threads that I felt needed responding to and quoted them all here, hopefully that will help things stay more organized now.

If fear of retribution in an afterlife is all that stops you from raping and killing people, then your neither just nor moral, your just a murdering rapist to cowardly to take action.

As I said, this isn't what religion is about. This is a textbook strawman argument. You're condemning something I don't believe. Ok, fine. Try to actually argue against my position next time, instead of one you're making up for me.

Quote
A stawman is when somebody argues against a point nobodys made

Exactly.

But of course the inability to create any kind of coherent argument yourself only leaves you with such feeble debating tactics as the ones you brazenly display here.

This is funny, coming from the guy who hasn't actually interacted with any of my arguments in these threads.

You and your ilk seem incapable of comprehending an absence of belief, and so we get terms like "Athiest" or "Agnostic". In the vain attempt of defining something it seems you are incapable of conceptualizing. I'm guessing you believe something along the lines of Everyone has faith, they just don't realize it.

Well, faith is actually a part of any knowledge claim, as even your atheist philosophers will tell you (knowledge being justified true belief). So yes, I do believe that everyone exercises faith in the things they claim to know. That shouldn't be a big surprise to you.

I comprehend perfectly fine your 'absence of belief' I'm not even sure what you're trying to prove with that.

For what I think is the forth time unanswered I will put it to you again, Tell me why you don't believe in all the other Gods and I'll be able to tell you why I don't believe in yours.

I don't believe in any other gods because the Triune God of scripture is the only God who can account for knowledge, morality, ethics and any number of other things. The proof that the Christian God exists is that without him you can't prove anything.

Is that why you also reject my God? Because you believe he exists?

If you'd actually like to have a discussion about this, why don't we pick a certain topic or thesis sentence to debate, it helps keep things on target better than just taking random shots at each other as we've been doing.
