Infact you can't use a pound sign at all? wtf.
I've seen that issue before but couldn't trigger it until now.
I've uploaded a provisional fix for it, which shouldfix a few bugs with the parser that I've noticed. The way I've fixed it could conceivably break just about anything, though, so report new issues as you find them.
Edit (+6 hours): I've fixed a few more issues with HTML entities and posting, which now means that none of the remaining ones are things I know about.
