JFYI, the email I got looked like this:
Hi everybody,<br /><br />I just thought I'd write to let you know that we've resumed work on FileSheep. We've got an exciting new update coming very shortly, and although we can't say what it is yet, is is very exciting. Like, really exciting.<br /><br />Activity levels on the site have dropped dramatically since development unfortunately had to grind to a halt. We're sorry about this, and we were hoping if we could tempt some of you to come back and post? I'm going to be around a lot more now to post and I'll be rallying the troops up as best I can, and combined with this exciting new update-me-bob (which is coming SOON) - it should be good stuff.<br /><br />So I hope to see you all on FileSheep soon! Especially you Chowner.
