Seems a bot found out that the PM system checked whether you were logged in, displayed a message, and then promptly ignored all that and continued on its way.
It's fixed now, and the PMs it sent have been purged from the database. Thanks for mentioning it, since I had no idea (And it wasn't part of the coming update). I've uploaded the upcoming version of the PM system and none of the other files that it relies on (As there are a lot of changes internally), so any quirks in PM handling are likely due to that, and will be fixed at some point over the next few days.
I suppose I could call it proof that PMing works for guests, but I won't.
