If this goes ahead, NASA could have a new generation manned vehicle capable of orbiting the moon within five years.

Where would this leave all those "America never went in the first place" people, the ones who say the Apollo program was faked? In particular, what will become of the people who say man could not have survived the trip to the moon because of the Van Allen belts?

Will they deny that NASA is going again, or will they accuse NASA of belatedly shipping fake Apollo lander gear to the moon to keep up the pretense that they landed men there in the late sixties and early seventies?

It'll continue, as it always will. They'll simply claim this new mission was faked and so on and so forth into infinity.

I sware a lot of these people wouldn't believe if you took them to the moon themselves to see it.
