Stewie Griffin created the universe....
Fuck your Honda Civic I've a horse outside...
Sure, God COULD destroy the universe, but why would he want to? If He created it then He obviously exists outside of it and can ignore it for extended periods of time if He grows bored.
It doesnt make much sense to be scared of something you have absolutely no control over. Especially if its happening would mean your disexistance (unexistance? de-existance? my english fails me)
Yeah, he has power to destroy the universe, but he has already said what is going to happen and how it will be destroyed.
If you're going to assume a person believes in the first book of the bible, you might as well assume belief in the last as well.
One day, Christ returns, judges the unrighteous, saves his people from Satan and those who are attempting to overcome them and renews the world
It isn't a fearful thing for Christians because they have the promises of God which tell them when they are being persecuted and the end comes, they'll be saved.

If quoting bullshit Book at least quote the bullshit that in someway supports your arguments.
Again, there is no mention of a rapture in either old or new testament in the Bible. Absolutly non. Zero. With the possible exception of the king james version which hopefully even a deluded fanatic like you can conclude is heavily mis-translated.

Well, you're right, there is no such concept of a rapture (even in the King James translation of scripture, which is actually fairly faithful to the original texts they had at the time)
You'll also notice I mentioned nothing about a rapture. So that argument kind of doesn't make any sense to use against me. However, Christ's return is discussed in many places in scripture, the second letter to Thessalonia, The Apocalypse of John, Peter's second letter to the church.
So, everything I've said is still true, you just assumed I was talking about a rapture when I wasn't.

Lol god.
Lol atheists.
Lol atheists.
Yet again, some atheist shows up on the internet, makes a bunch of moronic claims about religion, and when pressed on the mdisappears.
6 months from now when he shows up again I hope we'll all remember how the last two threads ended. After making ridiculous assertions and being asked to give at least some evidence that he knows what he is talking about he just vanishes.

Book, please be kind and don't lump us all in with the evangelical atheists.

I know if I believed in God, I would be scared out of my mind of the very notion of the world being destroyed at any second, and being absolutely powerless to stop it.
Why are Christians relatively quiet about this? I know that every once in a while some 'nutjob' comes out talking about the world ending, but really, if there is a God, and he did create the universe, shouldn't we all be scared that at any moment our lives could end?
Maybe the world is just like The Matrix, and God is The Architect. Maybe we are 5th generation creation of civilization, the previous 4 were flawed universes that underwhelmed God, making him destroy his own creation.
Something tells me one day there will be a 6th generation if that is the case.
