I am shocked how many people I know who either are or know someone that is in an open relationship. Most of the time its the wife / girlfriend that can go and have sex with someone she likes, the men seem to get a kick from it.

Should i be shocked by this or is it just more the norm now?

this is weird, but not that uncommon- i know a lot of people who just turn a blind eye to this sort of thing, kinda scary, whatever floats there boats.

I think it's somthing that has probably gone on for a lot longer than people think, but people are more comfortable to admit it these days.

I'm comfortable with people doing that. I'm all for tearing down the silly walls that confine relationships these days. If both partners are comfortable with it, then go for it.

That said, I'd never be okay with my significant other being with another man. A woman, on the other hand...
