Or at least according to the existentialist Philosopher Jean-Paul Sartre it is. "L'enfer, c'est les autres," to quote him directly.
This got me thinking what would your idea of hell be? I mean literal life after death hell. I think the the Christian view of burning in fires for eternity wouldn't be to bad.
Everythings relative including pain so any hell involving physical torment would only have effect for so long before it becomes the norm. Without good feelings for
comparison I don't think any pain can have a prolonged hold over an individual.
I think any effective eternal torture would not require a physical body. Being a mass of consciousness in an empty room without the means to interact or express with
surroundings in any way, and knowing it would never end, would certainly constitute a hell in my mind. Similar to what happens to the the final protagonist of I have no
mouth and i must scream.
So guys as we're all either worm food or Satan fodder (If you follow a religion your going to hell, Period.) what would you consider your personal eternity of torment to
